CrossFit Kingdom Miami – 03.26.10

“Murph”

For time:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run.

    at the gym in san juan….
    10 minute total body weighted warm-up.

    4 X
    400M pose walk,
    30 lb (to consider left shoulder) barbell snatch (each hand),
    30 lb dumbell snatch,
    30 lb weighted bar windmills (short bar).

    no problem with snatches, probably could have done 40 lbs. Tried “modeling” windmills in every version I saw on cf videos…failed… could have done with pvc pipe or plain bar better.

    worked on pose technique on walks…actually did 600M, 400M, 400M, 1300M. walks were power walks…will take sometime before I master this techniques… technique seems to make sense but Romanov’s videos suck…He tries hard but is not an effective presenter… gotta love him for trying.

    If all goes well I’ll be back for more punishment tonight…see y’all at the box.

    made it in time for murph…and desi & I both got through it…her time is her time

    my murph was
    1 mile power pose walk
    200 scaled pull ups
    200 push ups 120 + 60 on floor + 20 on box
    300 air squats (bench to aim)
    1 mile power pose walk
    75:53 pfs (someone guess what that means)

    new goals- 2 unassisted pull ups by June 30 (inspired by Marli) & one muscle-up by 3/26/11 (inspired by Adam) …Vamos a ver!!!

    So glad that I made it.

    Murph was HELL but it felt so good when I was done (minus the massive blister on my left hand). Jeremy and Carlos really pushed us through that WOD! Thanks guys!

    My time was horrific but at least we finished!!!
