The Benefits of Fish Oil
Continuing with my post from yesterday about overtraining, some of the experts have said that what’s more important is your post-workout routine… your recovery. Some of the ways we can protect our joints and muscles come with physical activities like cool downs, stretching, and massages. Others, come with daily eating habits. Fish oil is known to have many benefits not only for your everyday health, but also for your recovery. This article from the Paleo Chix explains more about that:
“Let me tell you what I know about fish oil: Fish oil comes from fatty fish like Salmon, Tuna, and Hoki. Fish Oil is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains omega 3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA), precursors to eicosanoids that reduce inflammation throughout the body. Fish do not actually produce omega-3 fatty acids, but instead accumulate them from either consuming microalgae that produce these fatty acids, or by eating prey fish that have accumulated omega 3 fatty acids from microalgae.
There are so many studies about the benefits of fish oil that I could go on for days. In my research I found studies supporting fish oil protecting men from prostate cancer on one end of the spectrum to supporting good brain health in preventing Alzheimer’s on the other end of the spectrum. Personally, my joints benefit from it and I can tell a real difference in my mobility…” READ MORE

So… I can’t run… Can’t squat and can’t do even one kte…still got a powerful workout… Scaleable… Btw, thanks for the reminderb’bout the power of omega 3… My dad got through his set of chair to walker.
Did my mile in 8:15… better than the last time I did and waaaay better than the first time! Also did 10lbs more on my OH squats
Sweet!! Nice job Mo! I shaved off exactly one minute from my last mile time.. I was stoked!
Mo and Patty crushed the OHS! No technique for them. If they want to RX Fran soon they need to step it up!!!
Well I did do RX thrusters for the Air Force WOD so I know I can get through the 21 for Fran… the rest, not too sure about.
Knocked 26secs off my mile. Did 50 GHD situps instead of the KTE. Has anyone else been saying “stoked” a lot since being around Danny? Or am I the only one?
haha! stoked on your post Adam
I also need to work on my pulls ups to get FRAN RX. So enough more of both OHS & pull ups for me…
I beat my mile by a whopping 1 second!!!! But I just did my mile PR a few weeks ago. 6:46 for me
I have been resting my shoulders… so I only ran the mile and did some abs.
